A participant pointed out how sometimes women who are mothers, don't give enough credit to themselves for all the good work they do and instead feel guilty for either not spending enough time with the kids or not doing something right for the family.
It was interesting to find out that even women in western countries can't seem to stop beating themselves up for not being "the perfect mom".
All this left me with that sinking feeling of realization that kids are not just " bundles of joy" but "bundles of massive responsibility". Well, I suppose nothing in life is easy!
Anyway, the intelligence squared debate is a really good program that I would recommend anyone to watch.

Thanks for sharing this Chaths! I have never heard of this so looking forward to checking it out. Btw so true about not being bundles of joy all the time... I suppose they are bundles of massive responsibility coupled with a dash of annoyance LOL :) However, interestingly, it seems almost taboo to talk about reality when it comes to babies don't you think? It's as if people are supposed to talk only about the good and never that it does have a huge toll on you as well. I suppose it is like any relationship, it's not always a bed of roses.
